Frequently Asked Questions

So That You Feel At Home Before Walking Inside Our Church

We are Here for You.

Here at Journey, we have one simple mission, to help others FIND HOPE, DISCOVER HEALING, WALK IN HEALTH, and ultimately MAKE A DIFFERENCE. What that means is that we are here for you in whatever part of the faith journey you are on.

We strive to  create a welcoming environment where you and your family are loved and where you can find your community.

We want to make sure that you are comfortable when you are with us and we hope that this page helps prepare and encourage you to join us for worship this Sunday!

Frequently Asked Questions

Will anything be expected of me during the services?

We believe that when you are here, you are family. One of the most important principles we live by here at Journey is making genuine connections. We ask for first-time guests to fill out a connect card so that we can begin making healthy connections and getting people plugged into the Journey family.

Where do I park?

We have convenient street parking available directly in front of the church building. We also have overflow parking located at Kingwood Park High School. In addition, Journey provides a courtesy shuttle team that will cart guests to and from their vehicles without the hassle of having to walk too far.

Where do I enter the building?

The main entrance is located on the left side of the building (Glade Valley Drive side).

What do I wear to your service?

A majority of our members attend church in casual dress attire.

What do I do with my kids when I arrive?

Head to the Connect Booth located just outside the auditorium entrance. Once you’re there one of our Guest Services team members will escort you and your family down the hall to the Journey Kids Check-in counter. We provide classes for infants/children from 6 weeks to 5th grade.

Am I able to keep my children with me during service?

Children are more than welcome to sit with their parents during the service; however we encourage parents to take advantage of Journey’s children’s ministries which are strategically designed to minister to a child on their age level.

Is there security to protect the church and the children?

Yes. Journey has trained individuals scheduled each weekend who are ready to respond in the event of an emergency or medical situation.

What is there for my teen?

Journey provides a student ministry for 6th - 12th grade students.

In the event of inclement weather conditions, we follow local emergency networks concerning cancellations.
